100 km Forti Trail
A hundred kilometres , from Folgaria to Luserna, via Lavarone. A hundred kilometres through the remains of the First World War, specially laid out for lovers of mountain biking, among stupendous panoramas, hidden nature nooks, signs and evidence of the great conflict fought on these peaks bordering Trentino and Veneto .
The permanent trail 100 Km dei Forti has been set up by the Provincia Autonoma di Trento (Environmental Recovery and Valorization Service) in collaboration with the Gruppo Cicloamatori Altipiani.
Equipped and provided with special signposting, the trail is absolutely safe. It comprises three circuits forming three rings that can be used independently from each other or in a single itinerary: 52.5 km on the Folgariaplateau (access at Passo del Sommo), 23.95 km on the Lavarone plateau (access at Parco Palù) and 26.48 km on the Luserna plateau (access at Piazza Marconi).
The trail is used for the Italian races 100 km dei Forti / 1000Grobbe bike on the Lavarone and Luserna plateaux, Gran Bike and Folgaria Megabike on the Folgaria plateau.
Fortezze Bike Tour
A route dedicated to bikers who enjoy long demanding excursions in a natural environment that arouses strong emotions. he Fortezze Bike Tour is a theme itinerary.
It is inspired by the evidence of the Great War distributed over the wide territory from Trento to Vallarsa, on what was the Austro-Italian border, i.e. the current border between Trentino and Veneto. The itinerary proposes an interesting ten-stage journey, served by welcoming points for overnight accommodation and meals.
The project is organized by the Pasubio - Vigolana Project Leader II with the financial support of the Trento Provincial Government and the Consorzio dei Comuni B.I.M Adige e Brenta. |
